When creating or refreshing a Salesforce Partial or Full sandbox, you must include specific Nue-related objects and follow required post-refresh configuration steps. This article provides the recommended Sandbox Template configuration and the Salesforce steps needed to create it.
What Is a Sandbox Template?
A Salesforce Sandbox Template defines which data objects are copied into a sandbox during a refresh.
For Nue customers, this template ensures that all core pricing, product, and credit-related objects are included so that your Nue configuration works as expected in the refreshed sandbox.
The template acts as a checklist of required objects plus the Salesforce steps to create and use the template.
Required Objects for Nue
To maintain full Nue functionality, your Sandbox Template must include the following objects.
Standard Salesforce Objects
Product2
PriceBookEntry
Nue (Ruby__) Managed Package Objects
You must include all core pricing, credit, and product relationship objects:
Ruby__ProductOption__c
Ruby__PriceDimension__c
Ruby__PriceTier__c
Ruby__ProductOptionPriceDimension__c
Ruby__ProductPriceDimension__c
Ruby__UOM__c
Ruby__Entity__c
Ruby__CreditType__c
Ruby__CreditPool__c
Ruby__CreditConversion__c
Ruby__ProductRelationship__c
Ruby__ProductRelationshipMapping__c
Ruby__ProductRelationshipPriceDimension__c
These objects are essential for product configuration, pricing, usage tracking, and relationships within Nue.

For additional Salesforce documentation on Sandbox Templates, see the article Create or Edit Sandbox Templates (Salesforce).
Important Notes
Partial Copy Sandboxes require a template — without one, essential Nue data may be missing.
Full Sandboxes include all data by default, but using a template ensures consistency and avoids missing managed-package objects if restrictions are applied.
A sandbox missing these objects may result in:
Broken product catalog syncing
Incomplete pricing configuration
Missing relationship mappings
Errors when running Nue Revenue Builder or syncing data
Summary
To ensure a successful sandbox refresh:
Include all Nue-related objects listed in this article
Use a Sandbox Template for Partial Copy sandboxes
Follow the Salesforce setup path to create and assign the template
A properly configured template prevents integration issues and ensures your sandbox environment behaves consistently with production when using Nue.
