Approvals Pro — Release Notes: 10.33 → 10.38

This document summarizes all customer-facing changes in Approvals Pro from version 10.34 through 10.38, for customers upgrading from 10.33.

Version 10.34 (mid-2025)

Internal infrastructure and packaging updates only. No customer-facing feature or bug fix changes.

Version 10.35 (Oct 2025)

New features

Submit for Approval button visibility setting Admins can now control whether the Submit for Approval button is displayed separately from the approval path preview. This gives admins more control over when and how records enter the approval workflow.

Recall approved or rejected records Quote owners and sales reps can now recall a record after it has been approved or rejected, edit it, and resubmit — without requiring an admin to reset the approval status.

Version 10.36 (Dec 2025 – Feb 2026)

Bug fixes

Skipped approval paths no longer block overall approval When an approval workflow contains paths that are fully skipped (e.g., criteria not met), the overall request status now correctly advances to Approved. Previously, skipped paths were not treated equivalently to approved paths, leaving the request stuck in Pending even though all active steps were complete.

Version 10.37 (Feb 2026)

Bug fixes

Case and non-standard object support in approval notifications Approvals Pro now correctly handles records that lack a standard Name field — such as Cases, Tasks, and custom objects with auto-number names. Approval notification emails and the approval UI now display the record's Subject, title, or auto-number instead of crashing with an error.

Version 10.38 (Mar 2026)

Bug fixes

Case error email path fix Resolved a remaining edge case where the approver error notification email crashed on Case records when an approver group had no members. The error email now falls back to the same display-name logic used elsewhere in the product.

Upgrade guidance

When upgrading from 10.33 to 10.38, validate the following flows in a sandbox environment before promoting to production:

  • Submit for Approval — confirm the button visibility setting works as expected

  • Approve / Reject — verify standard approval and rejection paths

  • Recall — test recalling an approved record and resubmitting

  • Skipped paths — verify workflows with skipped paths advance correctly

  • Case / non-standard objects — test approval submission on Cases, Tasks, and any custom objects in use
